Project Garnet

Game Dev School Project. 

Project Garnet is a FPS metroidvania/sprawler set in an alien planet which destroyed the civilization that was living on it, due to it wanting to harness the power of a garnet-like red crystal that resides in the inner crust of the planet. Your ship is blasted by a massive EMP while in the planet's vicinity and you crash land in it.

Made in conjunction with Alejandro Lawler and Mariano Boschini.  We all played a big role in making it, all improved upon the same scripts and implemented new stuff.  

Tomas Pargade:

Personally, I focused on getting right the look and feel, atmosphere, game design, level design, and environment design for the most part in my scenes but I retouched stuff in the other scenes too.

Also did some cutscenes, player animations, and most of the story aspects (which as of this version only exist in the form of the intro cutscene, some environmental storytelling and ideas).

Alejandro Thomas Lawler:

I focused on the AI of the enemies, animation stuff and the event manager in conjunction with the cutscenes and cinematics. 

I played a mayor role in the iteration of scripts to overall optimize and improve them.

Mariano Boschini:

I worked on scripting and gameplay mechanics. Secondly, I took charge of bug fixing and quality assurance, conducting testing to identify any issues or bugs.

Lastly, I played a vital role collaborating closely with the team to fine-tune various elements such as enemy behavior, weapon mechanics, and level design.
